The impact of folk tales on the artistic expression of the child in kindergarten in Al-Jouf Region.

Abstract

Objectives: The study aimed to enrich the artistic culture of the child by Turning folk tales from spoken and audible language to visual language, identify the types and trends of folk tales provided to the child in kindergarten, the knowledge of the technical and educational values involved in those tales, in addition to revealing the level of images and expressive artistic features of kindergarten children Resulting from folk tales spoke to them. discovering of the impact of folk tales on artistic expressionism, And the characteristics of the child's artistic expression.
Approach:Descriptive analytical method, the curriculum is semi-experimental, one-group approach is a pre-post-test.
Sample:The sample included 20 children in Dumat Al Jandal kindergarten, chosen by the intentional method.
Study tool: A questionnaire has been set up to identify the popular stories for the research category, And the preparation of the analysis tool for children's drawings in the kindergarten stage, consisting of two axes, the first is to measure the expressive images and fall under it (17), and the second axis: measures the artistic expression, and falls under it (21).
Statistical Methods: Correlation coefficients Pearson, and equation alpha Cronbach, the descriptive statistic is represented by (frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation), T test for interrelated samples, and ETA square equation for the size of the effect.
Main results of the study:
1- Our folk heritage is full of folk tales that correspond to the characteristics of kindergarten children -the study sample- which can be used to develop his imagination, and increase his vocabulary and help him to express his feelings and feelings without fear, also its a method to inculcate the moral behavior of the child through simulations of the heroes of the folk tale.
2- The popular stories contain educational, cultural, social and religious values of the Saudi society. The educational contents of the values vary in the Saudi folk tales for children, including the values of cooperation, good behavior, thinking and wisdom, honoring the guest, doing good.
3- The level of artistic expressive images of preschool children resulting from the folk tales that were telled in the three-tales combined was high, with an average of 2.35 and a standard deviation of 0.21.
4- The level of expressive traits of preschoolers resulting from the folk tales of the three stories combined was high, with an average of 2.47 and a standard deviation of 0.20.
6- There is an impact on the use of folk tales to improve the artistic characteristics of kindergarten children in general. The ETA equation showed that 92% of the improvement in expressive features in preschool children is attributed to the use of folk tales.
Recommendations: The importance of the Ministry of Education and those responsible for raising the preschool child to the popular heritage and folk tales of the child because of the educational and mental values of the child at this stage. And provide kindergarten teachers and libraries with books on folk tales about our Saudi folklore. And conducting many studies that deal with the popular and audible heritage in the fields of Fine arts.
