This study aims to study the psychological determinants of stigma in a sample of mothers of children with Down syndrome , also to study the effect of demographic variables ( economic status , educational level , age ) on stigma , was applied the psychological determinants of stigma scale ( the researchers ) , the ( n = 60 ) of mothers of children who feel stigma because of their children , and the study concluded that age of mothers of Down Syndrome doesnot affect their feelings of stigma , educational level and economic status affect their feeling of stigma , also social avoidance , lower self esteem , lower social support , negative feelings are the main indicators of stigma among a sample of mothers of children with Down Syndrome
