Abstract
This study aimed to Investigate the effectiveness of the training program based on teaching competencies in the light of international standards on the development of future thinking of the student teachers of the basic stage in Gaza strip. To achieve the objectives of the study,  the researcher used future thinking test then applying the research tool pre and posttest. The sample consisted of(30) subjects who are basic stage student teachers in Al-Aqsa  university.
   The researcher used the  descriptive approach in building the training program based on teaching competencies in the light of international standards. Besides, she used the quasi-experimental approach based on the design of one experimental group . The results of the study: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group in the pre application and their mean scores in the post application of the test of future thinking in favor of the post application .and a great effect on the development of future thinking caused by the program.
