The degree to which male and female teachers practice positive behavior in the work environment in light of the objectives of Islamic education

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the degree to which teachers practice positive behavior in the work environment in light of the objectives of Islamic education through six dimensions: (the ethical, cognitive, emotional, psychological, social, physical, and professional dimension) and to present some suggested mechanisms to enhance the practice of positive behavior for male and female teachers in the work environment. The researcher used the descriptive survey method. To achieve the study goals, a questionnaire was prepared consisting of (56) statements distributed on (6) axes and applied to a sample of (582) male and female teachers. One of the most prominent findings is that the degree of positive behavior among male and female teachers in public education in Riyadh is high, where the general arithmetic average is (4.44). The order of the dimensions of practicing positive behavior among the sample members was as follows: the professional dimension, the ethical dimension, the social dimension, the psychological emotional dimension, the cognitive dimension, and then the physical dimension. The study proved that there are statistically significant differences between the response of a sample of male and female teachers regarding the degree of practicing positive behavior due to the gender variable, administrative work, the code of profession ethics and the educational stage. Among the proposed mechanisms for promoting positive behavior are: Nominating teachers with positive behaviors for senior administrative positions and submitting them to the General Administration of Teachers' Affairs, and good selection of school leadership based on the availability of positive practices.
