The Attitudes Of Science Teachers In The Nablus Governorate Towards Using Team Teaching In The Light Of Some Variables And The Impediments of Using It From Their Point Of view

ABSTRACT
The present study aimed to know the attitudes of science teachers in the Nablus Governorate towards using team teaching in the light of some variables and to know  the most prominent impediments of using it  from the point of view of the teachers. The  population of the study consisted of  all the teachers of the  general science subject  who teach  the science curriculum for the basic and secondary stages in the Directorate of Education in the Nablus Governorate, and whose number is  (500) male and female teachers. The sample of the study was (172) male and female teachers  and this  formed (34%) of the population of the study. The sample was randomly chosen , whereby the study adopted the descriptive analytical methodology. The study adopted the questionnaire tool which consisted of (20) items which measure the attitudes of science teachers towards using team teaching.
The results of the study revealed that the attitudes of the science teachers towards using team teaching in the science curriculum  was neutral. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences at the significance level of ( a-0.05) among the arithmetic means of the attitudes of the science teachers in the Nablus Governorate towards using team teaching which are due to the variables of the study the social gender, whereby the differences were in favor of the female teachers over the male teachers . The arithmetic mean was (2.79) and the standard deviation was (0.249). Concerning  the teaching stage, the differences were in favor of the basic teaching stage over the secondary teaching stage, whereby the arithmetic mean was (2.76) and the standard deviation was ( (0.297).  As for the years of service, the results show that there are no differences in the arithmetic means  among the attitudes of the teachers towards using team teaching. The results also  showed that the  among the most important impediments of using team teaching  from the point of view of the teachers of science is  that some teachers do not receive the necessary training  to employ the strategy of team teaching  in teaching science.  In the light of the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of employing team teaching  for teaching the general science curriculum by the institutions which are responsible for rehabilitating teachers, and this is by including team teaching in the objectives of the science curriculum and following up on the teachers for achieving it
