Abstract
Study aims:
The current study aims to reveal the relationship between psychological security and quality of life among the students of the University in light of some of the demographic variables (type, specialty, age, school, residence).
Study procedure:
The study sample consisted of (300 :145 male & 155 female) of university students their mean age (22.23 & S.D 1.55). the tools were Psychological security & quality of life scales ( designed by research )
Study results:
the study indicated that their were a positive correlation between psychological security and quality of life among university students.
There were statistically significant differences between (male and female) of the total degree at psychological security scales & its components towards female , There were statistically significant differences between (male and female) of the first component, "Vision of the university students for the future" & its components towards males, and the second component "Acceptance" , the fifth component "satisfaction and satisfaction & its components towards females, There were no statistically significant differences between(male and female) of the other component of psychological security scales (Belief, sense of psychological security), There were no statistically significant differences between(male and female) of the total degree at quality of life scales, There were no statistically significant differences between (scientific and literary) of the total degree at psychological security and in some components of psychological security scales ( the vision of university students for the future, acceptance, sense of belief , sense of security), while There were statistically significant differences between (scientific and literary) of the fifth component of the psychological security scales " sence of satisfaction"& its components towards literary specialization , There were no statistically significant differences between (scientific and literary) of the total degree at quality of life scales, There were no statistically significant differences between (scientific and literary) of the first component of quality of life "purpose of life "& its components towards scientific specialization, And the fourth component of quality of life "quality of social life and family"& its components towards literary specialization, There were no statistically significant differences between (scientific and literary) of the second component, the third component of the quality of life standard "quality of physical health, quality of mental health", There were statistically significant differences between (18-20 years, 21-23 years) of the total degree at psychological security scales & its components towards (21- 23 years), There were statistically significant differences between (18-20 years, 21-23 years) of the first component and the fifth component of the psychological security scales "the vision of university students for the future, satisfaction and satisfaction" & its components towards (21-23 years ), There were no statistically significant differences between (18-20 years, 21-23 years) of the second , third and the forth components of the psychological security scales "acceptance, feeling of security, feeling of belonging” , There were statistically significant differences between (18-20 years, 21-23 years) of the total degree at quality of life scales & its components towards (21- 23 years), There were statistically significant differences between (18-20 years, 21-23 years) of the first, second, and third components of the quality of life scales” purpose of life, quality of physical health , quality of mental health “ & its components towards (21- 23 years), There are also statistically significant differences between (18-20 years, 21-23 years) of the fourth and the fifth component of the quality of life scales "quality of social and family life, quality of education and study" & its components towards (18-21 years) of university students, There were no statistically significant differences between (1st and 4th grades) of the total degree at psychological security & quality of life scales, There were statistically significant differences between (Rural, urban) of the total degree at psychological security scales & its components towards urban areas , there are statistically significant differences between (Rural, urban) of the second components of the psychological security scales “ acceptance “ & it components towards Rural areas, There were no statistically significant differences between (Rural, urban) of the others components “Vision of the university students for the future, belonging, feeling of security, feeling satisfied , There were statistically significant differences between (Rural, urban) of the total degree at quality of life scales & its components towards urban areas, There were statistically significant differences between (Rural, urban) of the first , second and third component of quality of life scales "purpose of life, quality of physical health, quality of mental health" & its components towards urban areas, there are statistically significant differences between the fourth and the fifth component of quality of life components, "quality of social and family life, quality of education and study" & its components toward rural areas
