Develop Social Intelligence among university female students as an approach for improving quality of life

Abstract




  The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of a training program for developing the social intelligence as an approach to improve the quality of life among the university female students. The study sample consisted of (60) female students from among the female students of the second year - kindergarten department and department of class teacher - Faculty of Education, Qasr Ben Ghashir - Tripoli, Libya, based on the results of the battery of social intelligence tests (prepared by Hanan Hussein Mahmoud, 2003) and the quality of life (prepared by the researcher). They were divided into two groups: the experimental group that was consisted of (30) female university students exposed to the training program and the control group that was consisted of (30) female university students who were not exposed to the training program, whose ages ranged between (18-22) years. The results of the study indicated the effectiveness of the training program in improving the quality of life among the university female students as well as the superiority of experimental group over the control group in the amount of improvement on the scale of (social intelligence, quality of life) after exposure of the first group to the training program
