Obstacles of Using Active Learning Strategies by Learning Difficulty Teachers and How to Overcome Them

Abstract

This study aimed to recognize obstacles that hinder using active learning strategies by learning disability teachers. To achieve aims of the study , the researcher used a descriptive analytic method and used a questionnaire as an instrument for her study. Population of the study consisted of all male and female learning disability teachers in the primary level in Taif (n= 205). Male teacher were 124 and female teachers were 81. Sample of the study was selected using random sampling and consisted of 98 teachers. The study revealed the following results: Results showed that participants agree on obstacles that hinder using active learning strategies by learning disability teachers. obstacles related to the teacher came first, followed by obstacles related to the school environment. obstacles related to the learner came last. Results showed that participants agree on ways to overcome obstacles that hinder using active learning strategies by learning disability teachers. Ways to overcome obstacles related to the school environment came first, followed by ways to overcome obstacles related to the teacher. Ways to overcome barriers related to the learner came last.
