Evaluating the Performance Level of Student Teachers’ Teaching Skills at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University

Abstract

Study methodology: the researcher has used the descriptive methodology due to its suitability for the study objectives where the descriptive methodology known as: the methodology that studying the phenomena as it is in reality, and collecting its accurate descriptions and information about it, and it is concerning by accurately describing it and express about it qualitatively and quantitatively.
Study Community: the current study community consists of teachers students in Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University who are affiliated to social sciences college in Religion Origins, history and geography College Departments.
Study Sample: the study sample consisted of (190) students of scientific education in Imam Mohammed Bin Saud Islamic University.
Study tool: the researcher used the questionnaire as a tool due to its appropriateness for fulfilling the study objectives and answering its questions.
The study reached to a group of recommendations such as:
-         The need for training students on teaching skills and using educational and technological means.
-         The need for teacher preparation in the period of scientific education in order to develop teaching skills.
-         Raising the level of professional preparation for teachers students in basic teaching skills.
-         The importance of applying boosting methods and evaluating students teachers performance in order to determine their requirements and help them in developing their teaching and academic skills.
-         Working on developing specific and accurate criteria for evaluating teachers students performance effectively.
-         Directing the colleges of teachers preparation to use competent teachers in order to perform teachers students training.
