The using of the "Schwartz" model in teaching Arabic; To develop the contemplative reading skills and habits of mind among the first year middle school pupils

Abstract

The aim of the current research is to develop the contemplative reading skills and habits of mind among first-grade middle school pupils. By using the "Schwartz" model in teaching Arabic, the results indicated that: There is a statistically significant difference at the level of α 0.05 between the mean scores of the two groups: the experimental and control groups in the post-measurement test of contemplative reading skills, in favor of the average scores of the experimental group, and that “there is A statistically significant difference at a level of 0.05 between the mean scores of the two groups: the experimental and control subjects in the post-measurement of the habits of mind scale in favor of the average scores of the experimental group. Among them are: The effect of using the Schwartz model on developing the different thinking skills of students of the basic education stage, and conducting more educational research to reveal the reality of the habits of mind and contemplative reading of learners in different stages of education.
