Abstract

The aim of the research is to study the effect of designing a home economics course (1) using electronic mind maps to develop systemic intelligence and the need for cognition among students of the fourth year at the Faculty of Home Economics, to achieve this, the two researchers prepared the course using electronic maps in Edraw Max program research tools represented in the systemic intelligence scale were distributed on four dimensions (systemic perception, systemic thinking, systemic control, systemic development), and the scale of need for cognition in its dimensions (cognitive depth, cognitive enjoyment, cognitive perseverance, cognitive confidence). The research sample is (200) students, who are students of the fourth year at Faculty of Home Economics, Al-Azhar University, Where the current research followed the experimental approach of one group, and pre / post measurement to identify the effectiveness of the independent variable (electronic mind maps) on the dependent variables (systemic intelligence - the need for knowledge). The results of the research resulted in a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the members of the research sample in the pre and post applications of the two scales (systemic intelligence and the need for cognition) as a whole and their sub-dimensions, in favor of the application Dimensional.
