Abstract

The Present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a suggested teaching model in light of the cognitive load theory in developing the information processing skills and study habits of the fifth grade students who are late in their studies.
To achieve this goal, the researcher followed the following procedures:
1. Determine the foundations of the suggested teaching model in light of the cognitive load theory to develop the skills of information processing and study habits of the fifth grade students who are late in the school.
2. Suggested teaching model based on the theory of pregnancy cognitive skills development information and habits of study addressing the fifth grade elementary students latecomers curriculum.
3. Preparing evaluation tools represented in: information processing skills test and study habits scale.
4. Field experimentation, then data monitoring and statistical processing, and reaching the results and interpretation and discussion. Conducting the Field experimentation, then analyzing the data statistically and discussing and interpreting results.
The results of the study indicated that the suggested teaching model in light of the cognitive load theory has positive effect on the information processing skills and study habits.
