Self-management and its relationship to the academic self-efficacy of middle school students with developmental learning disabilities.

Abstract:
This study aimed to explore the relationship between self-management and the academic self-efficacy among preparatory stage students with developmental learning disabilities, and to reveal the differences between males and females with developmental learning disabilities in both self-management and academic self-efficacy. The sample of the study consisted of (60) male and female students in preparatory stage with developmental learning disabilities (30 males and 30 females), The males belong to the (Mhammed Metwaly elsharawy Preparatory School for Boys), and the females belong to the (Hoda Shaarawy Preparatory Girls School) in Cairo Governorate whose average age was (13,86), The self-management scale (researcher preparation), the academic self-efficacy scale (researcher preparation) and the developmental learning disabilities diagnostic scale (prepared / by Hayam Saber Shaheen, 2012). The results of the study found a statistically significant correlation at the significance level (05,0) between self-management and academic self-efficacy, as well as differences between male and female in self-management and academic self-efficacy toward males.
