The Produced Habits of Mind and their Correlation with Counselling Self-efficacy among the School Psychological Counselor

Abstract

The current research aimed at probing the produced habits of mind among the school psychological counsellors and identifying their correlation with the counselling self-efficacy. The participants of the research were all the psychological counsellors in the 6 Th of October City totaling 152 (males and females). The instruments of the research were the produced habits of mind of the psychological counsellor scale and the counselling self-efficacy scale. The descriptive method was adopted for fulfilling the research purpose. The results of the research revealed that there were statistically significant correlation between the produced habits mind and the counselling self-efficacy among the school psychological counsellors;besides, the counselling self-efficacy could be predicted via the produced habits of mind. There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores attained by the males and females in the dimensions of perseverance and persistence for neatness, controlling rashness and flexibly thinking as dimensions of the produced habits of mind scale among the psychological counsellors in favor of the females, but there were no statistically significant differences in all the dimensions. There were no statistically significant differences in the counselling self-efficacy and the produced habits of mind among the psychological counsellors due to the years of experience in the counselling field.
