A proposed program based on active learning to develop critical reading skills and reading self-efficacy for students of the tenth grade
The aim of this research: To develop critical reading skills and reading self-efficacy among students of the tenth grade, through preparing a proposed program based on active learning
upon which the research is based, as well as a list of critical reading skills, as well as preparing a scale for reading self-efficacy appropriate to the nature and characteristics of the tenth grade students.
First: Research tools:
o Preparing a list of critical reading skills appropriate for the tenth grade students.
o Preparing a reading self-efficacy scale.
o Prepare a test in critical reading skills.
o Prepare the proposed program based on active learning preparing the teacher's guide; To teach the program using active learning strategies.
o Preparing the student's book. Second - procedures for field experiment.
A number of results were reached, which were presented and discussed most important results was: The effectiveness of the proposed program based on active learning in developing critical reading skills and reading self-efficacy.
