Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the effectiveness of a proposed program based on the theory of information processing in developing the skills of designing electronic tests in science and the level of scientific ambition among students of the Department of Chemistry and Physics at the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University. To achieve this, a program based on the theory of information processing has been designed to be applied on a group of students of the Chemistry and Physics Department of the College of Education Al-Azhar University. To assess the results of the program, two instruments have been utilized, an observation sheet of the electronic tests designing skills in science, and a scale for scientific ambition and the two instruments have been used for pre and post assessment. The results reached proved that there were statistically differences between the pre-and-post administrations of the two instruments in favour of the post administration. In addition, there was a significant relationship between the mean scores of the participants of the study on both the electronic test designing skills and the scientific ambition.
