The role of King Saud University in facing the health and psychological effects of addiction Among her students

Abstract:
   This study aimed to identify the extent of the spread of the drug phenomenon in Riyadh city in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from the point of view of king Saud university students in Riyadh, as well as to determine the health and psychological effects of the addiction of drugs on the university student In order to find out the role of the university in preventive awareness of the dangers of drugs and their effects. The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach to suit the nature of the study, as it based on describing the phenomenon accurately by collecting information, classifying it and expressing it quantitatively and qualitatively in order to reach conclusions about the subject of the study. The researcher verified the validity  of the questionnaire of  study, and  an open questionnaire  was directed to a number of individuals, with a wide knowledge of the subjects related to the subject of the study to reach the extent of the spread of the phenomenon of drugs in the   Riyadh city in Saudi Arabia from the point of view of university students, and then  a closed questionnaire was prepared ; to identify the most important psychological and health effects of the abuse and addiction of university students to drugs.
The study reached several results, the most important of which are:
1-                The respondents considered that the most effective means in this field were the application of strict laws against drug sellers.
2-                . 95% of the study sample uses Twitter, followed by dialogue by 93%, followed by Sky Talk, forums and chat rooms at 84% and finally blogs by 83%. This is evidence that the largest percentage of the study sample depends on their use of the Internet on dialogue sites that can contribute to the exchange of dialogue and chat, which may reach digital drugs and their mechanisms of use.
