هدفت الدراسة  الحالية إلى التعرف على العلاقة بين المساندة الاجتماعية والرضا عن الحياة لدى عينة من أمهات تلميذات صعوبات التعلم بجدة ،و التعرف على أبرز أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية لدى عينة من أمهات تلميذات صعوبات التعلم بجدة ، والتعرف على أبرز أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية لدى عينة من أمهات تلميذات صعوبات التعلم بجدة، والتعرف
على الفروق في درجات المساندة الاجتماعية بأبعادها لدى عينة الدراسة في ضوء الحــالة الاجتماعية للأم وعمل وعمر الأم والمستوى التعليمي والاقتصادي للأم ونوع الصعوبة التعليمية  لدى التلميذة ، وأبرز أبعاد الرضا عن الحياة لدى عينة من أمهات تلميذات صعوبات التعلم ، والفروق في درجات الرضا عن الحياة بأبعاده لدى عينة الدراسة في ضوء الحــالة الاجتماعية للأم وعمل وعمر الأم والمستوى التعليمي والاقتصادي للأم ونوع الصعوبة التعليمية  لدى التلميذة .
والتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم استخدام مقياس المساندة الاجتماعية ، ومقياس الرضا عن الحياة. وقد تم الاعتماد على استخدام المنهج الوصفي بشقية الارتباطي والمقارن وبلغت عينة الدراسة (145) أماً من أمهات تلميذات صعوبات التعلم بمدارس التعليم العام بجدة ، وقد تم اختيارهن بطريقة عمدية وذلک في الفصل الدراسي الثاني للعام الجامعي (1434 هـ / 1435 ه ) .
وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من النتائج أهمها :

حققت المساندة الوجدانية أعلى درجة بين أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية يليها المساندة المعرفية ومن ثم المساندة المادية فالمساندة السلوکية, کما حققت السعادة أعلى درجة بين أبعاد الرضا عن الحياة يليها التقدير الاجتماعي ومن ثم الطمأنينة , ثم الاجتماعية ومن ثم الاستقرار النفسي فالقناعة.
لا توجد علاقة دالة إحصائياً بين درجة بعد المساندة المعرفية من أبعاد المساندة الاجتماعية، وبين درجات أبعاد الرضا عن الحياة.
توجد علاقة دالة إحصائياً بين درجة بعد المساندة العاطفية والمادية والسلوکية وفي الدرجة الکلية لمقياس المساندة الاجتماعية وبين جميع أبعاد الرضا عن الحياة , فيما عدا بعد (الاجتماعية) فلم توجد علاقة دالة إحصائياً بين المتغيرين .
لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائيا في درجات المجموعات لجميع الأبعاد والدرجة الکلية لمقياس المساندة الاجتماعية تبعاً للمتغيرات الديموجرافية التالية (الحالة الاجتماعية, العمل, الفئة العمرية للأم والمستوى الاقتصادي, المستوى التعليمي ونوع الصعوبة التعليمية للتلميذة).
توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً في درجات أبعاد الرضا عن الحياة تبعاً للحالة الاجتماعية ففي البعدين (السعادة , الطمأنينة) کانت الفروق لصالح المتزوجات, بينما لم توجد فروقا دالة إحصائيا في بقية الأبعاد وفي الدرجة الکلية لمقياس الرضا عن الحياة.
لا توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسطي درجات أمهات التلميذات ذوات صعوبات التعلم تبعاً (الفئة العمرية, العمل, المستوى الاقتصادي) في أبعاد الرضا عن الحياة  وفي الدرجة الکلية للمقياس.
