Abstract

The study aimed to detect the effectiveness of a program based on electronic mind
mapping strategy to improve some reading comprehension skills in a sample of bilingual
children. The study sample consisted of (26) students from age (9-12), who are studying in
French as a second language and Arabic language as a mother tongue. The study findings
confirmed that there are statistically indicative differences between the two average mark
rankings of the experimental and control groups in the post measure in the reading
comprehension test in the favor of the experimental group. And there are statistically
indicative differences between the two average mark rankings in the experimental measure in
the pre- and post- measures of reading comprehension in favor of the post measure. Also,
There are no statistically indicative differences between the two average mark rankings of the
control group in two pre- and post- measures in reading comprehension test. and There are no
statistically indicative differences between the two average mark rankings of the experimental
group in the post and consecutive measures in reading comprehension test.
