A Proposed Program Based on Blended Learning to Develop Educational Communication Skills and Teaching Performance for Student Teacher at the Faculty of Specific Education in the Light of Contemporary Global Trends

Abstract

The Research aimed to identify the effectiveness of proposed program based on blended learning to develop educational communication skills and teaching performance of student teachers, Division of  computer teacher preparation  at Faculty of Specific Education Mansoura University during the field training in light of contemporary global trends; researcher prepared a note of the skills of education communication skills and a note of teaching performance indicators, Following the semi-experimental approach for two groups; experimental with(120) students in Faculty branch of Meniat El-Nasr were trained using the proposed program and the control (90) students in Mansoura, research tools were applied to two groups. Results showed the effectiveness of blended learning in developing educational communication skills (verbal - non-verbal - written - electronic) of all kinds and its positive impact on teaching performance (preparing and planning lessons - implementing lessons - evaluating lessons - managing and controlling classroom) of student teachers in the research sample, There is a strong positive relationship between teaching performance and educational communication skills. The research recommended the need to introduce educational communication skills within various teacher preparation curricula to achieve sustainable professional development, and establishing a field training unit within the Faculty of Specific Education, Mansoura University.
