Maternal sympathy and its relationship to communication skills of a sample of people with autism

Abstract

The study aimed to detect the difference in empathy skills when the mothers of altered demographic variables and differing communication contrast demographic variables skills. The study also contributes to the theoretical understanding of the nature of the relationship between parental empathy and growth of communication with their children .The study sample consisted of (n = 50) and their mothers are aged between (6:17) years and ages of mothers between (20:50) years . And yielded results: There are significant differences in the degree of empathy depending on the age of the mothers (20-30) a year, (31-40) a year, (41-50) in the sub-components of the measure of sympathy with the exception of the first component (love children), came differences in college degree to measure empathy depending on the age of the mother in the direction of mothers younger (20-30 years). The differences come in the total score of the scale depending on sympathy for the education of the mother in the direction of higher educational degree (postgraduate). There are also significant differences in the degree of communication depending on the age of children (6-9 years 10-13 years from 0.14 to 17 years).The differences came in college degrees to measure communication depending on the age of children Almatoyen in the direction of older children (14-17 years). As well as the lack of statistically significant differences between the average scores of male and female in the degree of networking components of the three subscale and also significant differences No statistically in the degree of communication depending on the order of children in the family. The results also showed the presence of a positive correlation statistically significant between the degree of sympathy for the mothers and the communication skills of children Almatoyen and sub-components.
